Paloma López was born in Malaga, Spain in 1989. She started painting at the age of 5, following in the footsteps of her late grandfather and her poet father. Her beginnings at the Círculo de Bellas Artes Málaga steered her towards realism art.
A graduate from the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Malaga and the Politechnika Koszalińska in Poland, she has steadily moved away from realism, refining her own style, influenced by the impressionist movement and artists such as Van Gogh, Edgar Degas and the impressionist works of Kandinsky.
Now based in Cologne, Paloma is constantly looking to develop and evolve her work to new levels. Her true inspiration comes from her travels and personal experiences. She reflects her own worldview of things in the works she creates, and emphasises in the unique harmony between colors and lines.
